About The Award

Cora Sue Smith From The Heart Scholarship Fund

Welcome to the Cora Sue Smith From The Heart Scholarship Fund. This scholarship was established in the winter of 2018 to honor the life of Cora Sue Smith and to continue her legacy of excellence, generosity and service.

The Cora Sue Smith From The Heart Scholarship is a renewable, annual, merit based competition, that focuses on rewarding ambitious, driven, goal-oriented individuals with a background of consistent civic involvement or community service.

This is a renewable award. Financial need is considered, however, all high school seniors or current college/university/trade-school attendees who have lost a primary guardian to heart disease or diabetes, are encouraged to apply.  Assisting others in making their dream of attending a college or university a reality, is the main goal of the scholarship committee. Finalists will be selected in May of each year.
